I know my way around Glocks. They have been in my hand since 93 when I bought a Gen 2 Glock 23. Since then I have owned several models in 9mm and .40S&W. Currently, with a 9mm reload, I carry a Glock 19 or Glock 43 as my EDC weapon. But when it comes to the three-gun game, the Glock 34 is the gun of choice, as explained in my previous article, "The Glock 34 is Perfect for Three-Guns" And for those of you looking to take your side action to the next level . level, look no further than the Firearms Commission. Shortly after purchasing a Gen 4 Glock 34, I spoke with the mad scientists at Agency Arms about a possible conversion. I am always impressed by their level of skill, performance and debauchery. Finally, I will be getting an Agency Arms Glock 34 soon.
Founded in January 2015, the Firearms Authority can be considered a newcomer to the aftermarket firearms market. But you wouldn't know if you handled or shot one of their highly modified Glocks. The innovation and detail created by this veteran and LEO owned company is amazing. No part of the gun was overlooked during the construction of Agency Arms Glock. In the next few sections, I will go into detail about the main features of the Agency Arms Glock 34.
The factory Glock polymer frame has some pros and cons. The strength of the polymer is not strong as proven by many years of use in law enforcement and the military. Up until the fourth generation Glock, the frames were one size fits all. Now that a removable back strap is included on the Gen 4 model, the user can customize the fit to another degree. The Armory Board is taking frame modifications a little further. Glock introduced the finger grooves in the 3rd Gen and, despite the cold reception, decided to continue with this design for the Gen 4 model. Agency Arms can carve the finger grooves and add a finish at the customer's request, giving shooter more flexibility and grip of work.

Also, the trigger guard goes under the doctor's knife, which reshapes it and makes stitches in all the right places. The tool is removed from the bottom of the guard, helping the user get as much purchase on the gun as possible. The trigger opening is also open and round for easy use while wearing tactical gloves. Just above the trigger on the side of the frame, you will find the "acceleration cut". A redesigned polymer projection and droplet that allows for lower pressure on the gun, helping to reduce recoil for faster follow-through.
Agency Arms offers 3 types of slides, Battle Field, Hybrid Special and Urban Combat. I chose the Urban Combat slide as it is the easiest model they produce. Another company's Glock 34 already has a window cut into the top of the slide. Agency Arms, however, unlocks it and even removes the extra material on the side of the disc. The CNC machine cut 2 new light windows in the front, which also helps reduce weight. One of my favorite features of the slide is the much needed addition of serrations on the front slide. I prefer to press the checks on the front of the slide and always thought Glock needed to add them. Instead, Armory is responding with 6 new front sprockets and completely redesigned rear sprockets. These are known as DNA collectors because of their strong cheese profile.
To put the Urban Combat slide into perspective, an unmodified Glock 34 frame (minus barrel and spring) weighs in at 15.2 oz. The Agency Arms Glock 34 weighs just 12.4oz...with a Trijicon RMR mounted on top! I should have compared the two before installing the RMR, but a good dose of Loctite and good zeroing prevented me from removing it at the time of writing. However, this comparison still illustrates how much easier the modified disc is. Doing a little math and subtracting the known weight of the RMR and mounting plate and adding in the weight of the MOS disc plate, I came up with a savings of 3.4 oz or 22% less than the factory disc. These weight reductions in no way compromise the functionality or durability that have long been hallmarks of Glock pistols.
No competition rifle is complete without a functional trigger. Agency Arms has completely outdone themselves with the perfect "arms loaded" trigger. This beautiful wide-faced aluminum trigger is activated with a slight lift and then a clear, audible pause. With minimal movement and a quick reset, the shooter is back on target for quick follow-up shots and increased shot groups. The Firearms Commission can install the trigger in a handgun Glock or send it out for installation. Either way, it's a big improvement on the standard polymer fabric. See Scott's article here discussing the Weapons Commission.

With the weapon's cycle rate, trigger reset, and follow-up, something will be lost if you don't deal with reloading. Agency Arms offers a large magwell to facilitate quick mag changes. Also, not one of those bad actions found on a racing gun. This magwell is a solid piece of aluminum cut for the shooter to carry inside or outside the belt. The perfect balance between form and function. Installation can be done indoors or outdoors and is available for 3rd and 4th generation Glocks.
The S3F Solutions Match Barrel can be found in my Glock 34 Agency Arms build. S3F Solutions offers adjustable barrels for the Glock 17, 17C, 19, 19C, 21, 24, 34, 34C, 35 and 43, as well as a 9mm reversible barrel for the 22 and 23. S3F Solutions and Agency Arms have teamed up to production. shooter with multiple barrels and finishing options. Check out Mark's article detailing S3F Solutions Match Barrels.
Final Thoughts: As they say at Agency Arms, "Welcome to the brothers". This pinnacle of parts and technology creates a synergy unmatched in the modern handgun era. Taking an already capable gun and making it look good is no easy task. The Firearms Commission has perfected the Glock in my opinion. Light, comfortable, reliable and accurate as hell. The Ranger Green finish completes this beautiful build for me. I was able to use this gun late in the season for a three-gun match and saw a significant improvement in my times and accuracy. I hope to have more time to compete with him
